Stop frame animation has always been special to me. At University I learnt how to make puppets and moveable armatures. I made the armature out of twisted wire and hard foam. Each year I learnt new skills and made latex/silicone moulds for faces, hands and shoes. My favourite puppet is my Sand Troll which was used in my final year film. The film included 3 puppets Sand Troll, Sophie and the Lighthouse Keeper, ranging from 14cm to 30cm tall. Everything was made by me including the clothing.
